The Forge V2

The Forge Revision 2.0 by Vestratto builds on the strong foundation achieved with Rev 1. Naturally they learned quite a bit getting that first batch into the wild. The physical differences in the unit are apparent looking at the updated circuit board with its additional components. The software to support the changes was also developed as were improvements to the accuracy and repeatability. Included is the Wagon Wheel which is a Forge Accessory that allows you to rest your Anvil or Tornado inside the Forge while heating.

The Vestratto team focused on three key areas. 

1. a significant amount of effort was put into identifying and fixing the failure modes that affected about 12 percent of the Rev 1 units in the field. We had to learn how to make them fail reliably and then rectify the potential problems.

2. They redid the coil output calibration to more accurately reflect delivered power to the load, whether it's a Dynavap, Anvil or a Tornado. These improvements are a key part of our desire to “move beyond the click” enabling both dry herb cold-start bowls and high temperature dab applications. We’re excited to get these Forges out to you and to get some new bowls to you as the year progresses.

3. They put some real effort into battery management to try to level the Forge performance across a declining battery charge. Even choosing a massive standard like the M12 has proven to us that there is a lot of variation across models, sizes and batches. The Forge works hard to bring a consistent experience. There is always going to be a difference across batteries but we now control and monitor what we draw from the battery where we previously let the battery manage that regulation.

The Forge Requires a Milwaukee M12 Battery (not included) these can be purchased from Sydney Tools or Total Tools for example with an external charger.
